- Shoes care
It's a routine to be taken. Here's what you need to do:
For oily leather models: just apply a renovating oil (we sell them in our shoe shop section). It will waterproof, deeply nourish and revive the colour. Little tip: rather place the oil on a cloth before applying it to the shoe. You can then polish with a shine brush.
For your leather soles: we give you a temporary sole protecting pads, so that you don't slip everywhere the first few times. But we recommend that you take them to your shoemaker when you receive your pair so that you can have real skates put on them. Your shoes will only last longer.
The little Biche is beautifully embossed, hot stamped in the leather, at the back of this model. This discreet Biche will come with you everywhere! ♡
The beveled top piece, studded heel
The 2.5-centimetre heel is made out of leather. The heel block top piece is bevelled with at the back a natural rubber pad and at the front, a leather layer nailed to the heel by 8 small brass nails.
Leather from Italy
The leathers used for the upper of the Gabrielle are cowhide leathers, either smooth, grained or pull up; with a touch of calfskin leathers for some models. Welcome to the new lizard and scale embossed leathers !
Our craftsmen bring particular care and vigilance during the cutting process, in order to select the most beautiful parts of the skin to offer you beautiful, supple and comfortable shoes.
Our Leah Combat Boots are fully lined with calf leather.
This small luxury is a guarantee that your shoes will be supple and comfortable. Kind of like walking on a cloud. Under the top insole, also made of cowhide leather, we put an additional 2mm thick cushion in the heel area ☁️
Contrasting back strap
Pied de Biche Combat Boots can easily be recognized by their contrasting back strap. It is our special touch, much appreciated and imitated!
The leather sole is attached to the upper by a Blake stitch. This technique guarantees both flexibility and finesse. Blake stitching also guarantees great longevity, since your shoemaker will be able to re-sole your Combat boots.
Leather is also a naturally breathable material, this is the reason why we chose it for our soles!
Handcrafted for your feet
Our shoes are the keepers of a precious craftsmanship that we found right within the European capital of the shoe in Portugal: Porto. It is there, that our artisans invest their whole selves to insure the high quality of the shoes throughout the year.
At Pied de Biche, we make a point of highlighting the hard work provided by those incredibly talented hands, without which we would be nothing, or at least, not much.
The Combat boots : an essential
Our Combat boots for Women have a very particular history: it is the first time that one of our creations is perfectly identical to a male model. But above all, it is a shoe that is born from your desires and your desires.
When you get out of our men's Combat boots, many of you ask us for their version. There she is !
Originally, these lace-up boots allowed soldiers to be isolated from mud, cold, and humidity.
They have now deserted the conflict zones to invade the bitumen, and bring an original and androgynous touch to your looks!
Designed in Paris and made in Porto, our Combat boots for Women display a very assertive style. Always looking for the highest quality creation possible, we have carefully selected our raw materials and craftsmen.
The Pied de Biche touch
Pied de Biche wanted to keep all the technical characteristics of these lace-up boots.
Their genuine leather sole is accompanied by a rubber midsole, a real thermal insulator.
Robust, they are sewn in Blake and finished with a nailed heel. Fully lined in cowhide, our women's lace-up ankle boots provide unparalleled comfort. Their rising, laced upper elegantly refines the ankle.
Back in Blake
Leather soles: these Chelsea Boots are sewn with Blake, from our manufacturer Fernando, north of Porto. Blake is by far the most popular couture at Pied de Biche.
First of all because it is this process that allows us to imagine and design shoes that are more flexible, more elegant than most shoes on the market (especially those with Goodyear soles). Then because it is a sign of quality, of durability. eh yes.
Combat boots : styling tips
Reflection (s) of the Pied de Biche DNA, our lace-up ankle boots sport a bi-material look, in deep and subtle shades. Suede gives character to smooth chocolate or black leather.
Worn with jeans, they want to be adventurous. A little dress, and here they are sensual and rock to perfection. Perfect alternative to the more classic boots, our Combat boots for Women accompany you everywhere!
