Don't overfeed!

Recognize a dry leather

A leather that cries out for help is immediately obvious. It is dull and dry to the touch.
On the other hand, a leather where the cream does not penetrate well is a leather that is sufficiently nourished! Don't overfeed it: you risk softening it.
If your leather continues to look dry, persist until it is soft and supple!

Just a knob!

More than enough!

For each product you use, never use too much at once! Prefer a light and frequent maintenance rather than an excessive amount of product.

Remember also that the active molecules contained in the creams may not penetrate the leather if you use too much at once: they would evaporate, leaving only a layer of binder. So it's not necessary.

Energetic yet soft massage!

Whether you are cleaning or polishing your leather, be gentle and thorough when brushing your shoes. Pay particular attention to the upper to avoid scratching it.

To make the creams penetrate, prefer concentric gestures to rubbing from top to bottom.

Definitely not the same!

Not to be confused

  • The cream or milk to use daily
  • The universal cream to nourish your shoes in depth, only when they are very dry!
  • The oil, to be used only on greasy leathers!
  • Renovating cream to be used only when the leather really needs it!
Renovating cream can dry out the leather, make it harden or even crack. Never use it for regular maintenance!
So you like jumping in puddles, huh?

If your shoes are drenched

Do not place them next to a heat source to dry, or the leather will harden and crack.
Instead, place shoe trees and wait for the moisture to be naturally absorbed by the wood.
If you don't have them, don't try to substitute them for newspaper. The shoes might get deformed as they dry with unflattering creases.
