It's a routine to be taken. Here's what you need to do:
For oily leather models: just apply a renovating oil (we sell them in our shoe shop section). It will deeply nourish the leather. Little tip: rather place the oil on a cloth before applying it to the shoe. You can then polish with a shine brush. Finally, use a waterproofing spray to protect your shoes from the rain.
For your leather soles: to get the most out of it, we're offering you your temporary pads, so you don't slip everywhere the first few times. But we recommend you to drop them off at your shoemaker's when you receive your pair so that you can have real skates put on them. Your shoes will only last longer.
And don't forget to use shoe tree when you're not wearing them, essential for maintaining the shape of your shoes.
We have everything we need in our cobbling department at reasonable prices, so don't hesitate.
