Your smooth leather shoes, like all leather goods, must be maintained with care and love. We recommend brushing your shoes regularly to remove dust and dirt. Once you have done this, massage the leather with a cloth soaked in Pied de Biche care cream. It will nourish the leather in depth. A true elixir of youth ! Allow to dry for at least one hour, then polish with a brush or soft cloth to remove the cream that has dried on the surface and make your shoes shine. To protect the leather and give it a shine and to protect your shoes, apply a small amount of shoe polish of the color of your leather. As with the cream, apply the shoe polish with a soft cloth, let it dry and then polish with a soft brush ! Remember that each color of shoe polish should have its own brush. Finally, protect the whole with the waterproofing agent Pied de Biche, to avoid stains. 

Greased leather is a leather that has been oiled to become more waterproof. More robust than its counterparts, it also lower maintenance. It couldn’t be more hassle free. Just rub in seal fat (to be applied with a soft cloth), or better yet, use an innovative revitalising grease that will condition, soften and waterproof your greased leather ! Squirt some of the product about fifteen centimeters from the shoe. You can also give your leather some shine by regularly rubbing in a small amount of shoe wax, in the right color, with a soft cloth.  Allow to airdry and then buff using a soft brush. You can protect and waterproof the entire shoe with our Pied de Biche waterproof spray to avoid stains and dirt.

The leather "pull-up" is also a greased leather. The only difference is that the pull-up leather colour lightens when stretched, but once released, goes back to its original colour ! For its care, proceed the same way as for a greased leather : use seal fat (to be applied with a soft cloth), or better yet, use an innovative revitalising oil spray that will condition, soften and waterproof your greased leather! Suede and Nubuck are often seen as fragile materials. Yet they are more resilient than most people think if you look after them properly. The basic minimum is to waterproof your shoes regularly, as soon as they are delivered to you ! This will prevent stains and water damage to your leather.

We recommend that you regularly brush your shoes in suede or Nubuck with a soft brush to remove unavoidable dust and dirt. Also remember to repeat this operation before and after the following steps. For reviving your shoes, you can use a spray cleaner to achieve an even coverage. Ideally, leave to airdry an hour before wearing them. The renovating leather spray can also be applied if your leather is worn. It will restore the colour to your shoes and protect them.

If you unfortunately happen to stain your shoes, do not panic ! There are miraculous solutions like suede rubbers that will enable you to remove any stain. You'll see, it's like magic! In case of persistent stains, very effective shampoos for suede and Nubuck are also available in specialist shops. They will give your shoes a new lease of life.

The answer is YES ! Your natural leather sole is flexible, aesthetic and comfortable. However, a leather sole is a fragile material that can wear quickly : it should be protected by a protective pad (and potentially irons, for a more durable protection). The pad protects the sole from wear and humidity, protects the blake stitching and will provide a better grip!
